Alternative sources of telephone support

If you need help with your mental health or require emotional support, please call NHS 24 on 111 and choose the mental health option to be connected to the Mental Health Hub.

If at any point you start to have thoughts of harming yourself or feel like your life isn’t worth living, please get help straight away by:

  • Contacting Samaritans on 116 123 – they offer 24-hour a day confidential emotional support
  • Contacting your GP and asking for an emergency appointment

Counselling with The Spark

Thanks to the support The Spark receives from our funding partners and donors we can offer some services for free or at a reduced rate. Fast Access Single-Session Therapy is free for everyone 18+ who permanently lives in Scotland. Our ongoing counselling services do attract a fee, however, some subsidised counselling sessions are available. Don’t be put off if cost is an issue.
