This intensive 2-day training course from The Spark is aimed at those who are interested in gaining an understanding of the fundamentals of working on a helpline. Through offering practical skills and knowledge, this training helps participants respond to a wide variety of calls confidently and effectively. Importantly, learning from this course can be applied across different helpline settings.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Structure a phone call and understand the skills required during each stage
- Identify and practice techniques for dealing with common challenges
- Identify the role of a helpline worker in relation to risk
- Understand how to obtain and or/provide support after emotional contacts.

Course fees and how to book
This 2-day course is charged at £150 per person. Please note that participants are required to attend both days in order to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
