Helpline Training

CPD: 20 hours (includes on-course & post-course self-learning)

This intensive 3 day training course will provide delegates with a clear understanding of being a Helpline call-taker. Participants will learn practical skills  for dealing with a wide variety of calls to a Helpline.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Structure a telephone call
  • Identify and practice skills and techniques for dealing with common challenges,
  • Identify a helpline worker’s role in relation to risk
  • Understand how to obtain and/or provide support after emotional contacts
