This intensive 3 day training course will provide delegates with a clear understanding of being a Helpline call-taker. Participants will learn practical skills for dealing with a wide variety of calls to a Helpline.
On completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Structure a telephone call
- Identify and practice skills and techniques for dealing with common challenges,
- Identify a helpline worker’s role in relation to risk
- Understand how to obtain and/or provide support after emotional contacts
