THE SPARK BLOG

ACVO Aberdeen logoFollowing on from Michael’s story last week, our volunteer Shona has been shortlisted as Active Citizen at the Aberdeen Impact Awards. To be held on 25th November 2014 at the Aberdeen Douglas Hotel, The Spark will be joining other Charities, Social Enterprises, Volunteers and Business Partners to celebrate the commitments of all those nominated and shortlisted. The objectives of the awards are to help Third Sector organisations of all shapes and sizes raise awareness of the impact of their work, recognise and promote good practice in developing their organisation, raise the profile of social enterprise and reward and recognise the efforts of their fundraisers, committee members and the wider teams.

The Spark is delighted to have nominated our volunteer Shona in the category “Active Citizen” for her valued contribution to all aspects of The Spark’s work in Aberdeen.  Shona exudes enthusiasm, is committed, reliable, fun and happy to turn her hand to whatever is required. In recognition of her commitment to the organisation, Shona now delivers Relationship First Aid across Aberdeen and the North East. We were delighted to have the opportunity to nominate Shona and have her volunteering support recognised.  Fingers crossed for the award…we hope she wins!
