Children and Young People Counsellors (Glasgow & West)
As the biggest provider of school-based counselling services in Scotland, The Spark is committed to ensuring all children and young people (CYP) have access to appropriate, professional support to cope with challenging life experiences.
These difficult and upsetting experiences can negatively impact the ability of children and young people to achieve their full potential through education. Our counselling service utilises an integrative approach incorporating talking therapy, art therapy and therapeutic play.
We are looking for CYP counsellors who are interested in joining our team. Opportunities are available in Primary school and Secondary school settings in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
CYP Counsellors will be required for a minimum of 1 day per week up to 4 days per week.
To be considered you will need to be:
- Fully qualified to provide counselling to children and young people
- A registered member of your governing body
- Able to travel to locations across Glasgow and the west of Scotland (travel expenses available)
- Capable of providing a minimum availability of 1 day per week during school terms.
